With the release of a new album on the way in 2012 along with new tour dates being established throughout Wisconsin & Illinois, (including many dates in Milwaukee and Chicago) Frizo decided it might be a good idea to add his own twist to several songs by mainstream hip hop artists. eNicaR Records, as a label, has always frowned upon un-original music releases, but both Frizo & the label agreed that this might be a way to gain a little more exposure from listeners who may not have heard of Frizo yet. Most recent remix is to Yelawolf and Kid Rock’s “Let’s Roll”. Frizo did modify the song somewhat. As recorded by Yelawolf, the songs arrangement is hook, verse, hook, verse, hook, verse, hook. In Yelawolf’s version, each verse is 16 bars long. Frizo made the 1st verse of his remix 16 bars, but then combined 2 verses as the last verse for a total of 32 bars.
Frizo is an unsigned artist and states that this is his way of “picking on mainstream artists”. Many listeners agree that Frizo’s version of “Let’s Roll” is far better than the original. In just one months time it became the most viewed video on Frizo’s YouTube channel. As far as being better than the original, that’s a matter of opinion. We’ll let you decide. Fans of Frizo & eNicaR Records should also expect to hear verses to Jay-Z & Kanye West’s “Ni**as in Paris”, Rick Ross’s “Tupacs Back”, Eminem & Dr. Dre’s “I Need A Doctor” and more.
